i caught my first TIGER MUSKIE

... i LOVE fishing...
ok guys... so i KNOW i already posted something this week.. but i am so FREAKING EXCITED i can't stand it! all winter, brady was going ice fishing (i had no idea why he loved it so much, though i went a few times) and so this christmas, brady got me a fishing pole (which is pink, LOL) and my own fishing stuff! i was super excited, even though i wasn't very good with it. I remember going fishing with my dad, but i was always so small he'd cast it and then i'd watch it and then if there was a fish i'd make him reel it in.. (i know so i guess he had two poles all the time) and then by the time i would have been able to do it myself i didnt care as much. i cared more about boyfriends, and dance, and friends... why? i have no idea.. i guess that's a part of being a girl teenager. :)

So me and brady have went fishing a few times, and at times i just think that i dont know what the heck i'm doing. i felt like such a baby when we first started going, i couldnt cast (still not the best) i got snagged (still do) and i dont know what lure, or hook, or worm or whatever to use. but this past weekend we went fishing a few times. i didn't catch anything, brady did! he has caught a few tiger muskies and had a few chasers.. me SILTCH. NOTTA, so while i was at work yesterday, and brady had the day off he decided to go to Newton dam to go fishing, again he caught a Tiger Muskie, he took pictures with his phone but they aren't very good.... so he called and wanted to know if i wanted to come out, i said sure and so my neighbor nick came and got me, and me him and his wife rachel went out fishing to meet up with brady.
(This is were it gets good)
We were on the boat and brady and nick were fishing, and i couldnt decide what i wanted to do, we were in kind of shallow water and i didnt know if i wanted to fight getting snagged.. cause i do that a lot. well i figured i'd just play around and do my own thing... i picked out a white fish lure that had a hook on it, it was probably about 3 or 4 inches long... put it on my line and let it down, i didnt cast it just kept giving in line to drop right off the side of the boat.. if you can picture this -me doing this, while talking on the phone and holding the pole with one hand- i all of a sudden feel a bite, scream (out of excitement) and through the phone to rachel (she doesnt know my sister on the other end and just ends up saying 'um she caught a fish, she'll call you back' i was so excited! so nick and brady figured they better help me... they put their poles down, come and kind of tell me what to do, not to fight it, let it go, reel it in, let it take the line, reel it in. I WAS OVERWHELMED!!! i didnt know if it was coming or going, then it took off, jumped out of the air, and finally made it's way to our boat!!! we took pictures, and let it go. it was probably around 35 inches!!!! thats the biggest fresh water fish i've ever caught.. if you notice in the picture nick had to hold the tail cause i was scared it would try and jump away from me and i'd either get bit or the fish would fall and get even more hurt (you cant keep this fish) but i was DANG excited... we stayed out there until like 9, nick caught a bass, brady caught a bass. and rachel just hung out (i think she's been fishing too many times.. and was tired of it :) haha but i'm already wanting to go back!!!
This is me and my reeling skills :) as you can see i kept it on the line while nick and brady got it out of the water.. some day i'll learn how to do that myself!

This was me with my TIGER MUSKIE, it was HUGE

This is Nick and his Bass

This is brady and his bass!

ALL IN ALL WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!!!

We were having too much fun going on our 4-wheelers and dirt bikes to care about a camera.. and it was rainy and windy most of the time.. BUT i did get SUNBURNED one day! here's camping pictures

Let the Good Times Roll........

Ok. so i know i posted mother's day pictures before i posted everything else that was going on... but lets back track a few days!!!

These first pictures are of Daisy's Play date... I know I know.. kinda weird, but she is my baby and we love seeing her have fun!! Our friends Jackie & Willow came over and brought their cute boxer Meika. It didn't take them long to warm up to each other and then they ran and ran until they got wore out! Daisy gets along with all types of dog, but lots of dogs don't get a long with her. She thinks every dog should just play and some of them get annoyed with her.. (most of the time, especially my mom and my sister's shiz-u dogs)

Meika is the dark brindle & Daisy is the fawn- both boxers!

Here are some other things we've been up to! daisy is clearly my baby, she rides in the truck with us, sleeps in our bed and sometimes eats with us at the dinner table.... (thanks to derrek that started feeding her table food) On top of all that we have a camp trailer, a new truck (well its an old '86 chev, but to brady it's new! its the brown one in the picture.) and we've started working int he yard... YAY i can see what we need to do!
us getting ready to go camping!
This would be Derrek (I always joke and say its daisy's boyfriend, she loves him)
and if you can't tell we are sitting at the KITCHEN TABLE
This is what daisy does while we eat... that is right next to the table.. she's funny she has to be in the same room ALL the time!
this is an ugly picture of me doing crafts- speaking of, i have done ALOT lately, i need to put pictures on here.. crap.. i'll try and remember i'm kind of forgetful!
this is brady hanging out while i do crafts :) haha
This is what it looks like on an ordinary basis lately. I go to bed, daisy crawls right up next to me, and brady is left with a smudge of room! it drives brady crazy... to the point he almost makes daisy sleep in her kennel~ she is so funny, she'll push us over until she gets her space, and then she'll sometimes roll over and put her head over my neck... shes crazy! hah but she IS MY BABY!
I just had to take this picture this morning. This is a pillow we bought when she was a baby! she has played on it and what not but never layed down.... UNTIL last night she layed on while me and brady were watching a movie and then when i woke up this morning she was like this. she must have woken up during the night and went and layed on it.. she's becoming to be such a big girl :)

This weekend we were the host of a big get together!!! Brady's friend Jake & his girlfriend Maren were up from vernal and spent the weekend with us! it was a lot of fun, i really enjoy their company. Brady's friend Dylan also spent pretty much the whole weekend with us as well... it took me back to the days of being young when we'd ask our parents if we could have sleepovers everynight... i guess we never grow up in some sense! i had a lot of fun. Saturday night the boys went and got food at the grocery and we had about 15-20 of our friends over to eat! We grilled on the grill (when i say we i meant brady & Jake) They made Carne' esada/saute peppers & veggies/corn tortillas.... they were GOOD! way to go boys, you guys are great cooks! then we played cards, and later we had a fire in our backyard.. oh the joys of spring!
I JUST LOVE IT!
Just some of our friends by the fire.... GOOD TIMES!
I can't wait for the rest of summer & what we have coming up!

Mother's day!

Mothers day was wonderful this year! I didn't have my camera... but my sister did so i stole this picture from her!

This year was different because my mom usually cooks! me and my sisters did it all this year.. I had the idea that we should do the lunch and let my mom be stress free.. stacey came up with the idea of shish-kabobs so i called Stacey & Steph after i figured out what we needed and we all pitched in. Steph was going to be at work that morning so me and stac did the shopping and steph brought stuff that she got the day before! we got there, made the kabobs and then my loving husband did the grillin'!! he loves grillin, so i figured that he wouldnt mind helping.

I had called my grandma and invited her earlier that week and i am so glad the day turned out beautiful and that we could all have fun hanging out!!

I love my mom and my grandmas.. they are all so wonderful! they are such great examples and i look up to them in every way. They won't ever know how much i appreciate them. Mother's day was great, and we have to think of all those mothers out there. But we also need to not forget all those soon to be mothers as well. I have plenty of friends out there that are expecting and i want each of them to know how excited i am and how good of mommies they are going to be! i can't wait to be a god-parent to them all :) haha!

Relay For life in honor of my Grandpa

This year, my sister and my mom have put together a Relay For Life team in honor of my Grandpa Riggs. As some of you may know, he has recently passed away. He got sick a few years ago with cancer, though they took care of it, it started coming back and he'd just been weak ever since.

So in his honor we have joined the American Cancer Society in this Relay For life. (the date is over my 1 year anniversary, so i might be at the relay, i might not, but i will still be doing plenty of other things to help and support.. so please still see if there are ways you can support him)!!!!!
Thanks everything has been there and supported my family through these hard times!

Our relay for life website is: Team William Riggs
The blog web address is: http://relayforwilliam.blogspot.com/ this is where the silent auction will be as well!!

Team Name: William Riggs
Goal: $1000
Date/Time: Friday July 9th at 5 pm to Saturday July 10th at 5 pm.
Registration Cost: $10
Registration Info: The $10 is paid to Relay for Life online when you register. You will get the Relay for Life general T-Shirt. If you would also like our team t-shirt, Stacey is working on getting a screen printer to sponsor us so they hopefully will be around $5-$10 each or free depending on what sponsors we can get. When you register online look for our team name “William Riggs,” I’ll update you if it changes.

Sponsors/Donations: We need to try to get to our goal of $1000. You can get money donations (which can be done online or with cash/check) or you can get donations for the Silent Auction. *All donations/sponsors over $25 will have their name/logo put on the back of our team shirts to help with some advertising and recognition for those sponsors. (The logo must be a high resolution jpeg, vectorized file like ai or eps to work; otherwise just the name will be listed. Email to staceymoss@live.com). If you are interested in getting sponsors or being a sponsor let me know and I can get you more information if needed.  Again if your name is listed above I have already registered you, you now have a website where you can have people donate to our team in your name. Spread the word.

Silent Auction:  The silent auction will be in early June. Start asking for donations of services, crafts, etc. now. The sooner you can get these items to be the better! All sponsors (businesses or individuals) who donated items worth $25 or more will also go on the back of the shirts. Again logos need to be the same as above. Individuals will just be listed as names.

Schedule: The track schedule will be on a first sign up basis. Once you are signed up, paid and officially part of the team you will get your pick of available spots that are open. We would like everyone to do 1 hour until we get more people and then could lower that time if needed. There can be more than one person on the track but we need at LEAST 1. So if you are a couple and would like to walk together you are more than welcome, more than 1 hour would be preferred but any help you can do would be great! Email me once you have signed up and you’ll get your pick of time slots open. We will have coolers with water for all those walking. (If you are already registered you wont get your pick of walking times until you’ve paid the $10 to Stacey).

Tent: We will have a tent and easy up at our location on the track. Everyone is welcome to spend the night if you would like. You will need to bring your own tent and supplies needed. Let Stacey and/or Carol know if you are interested in staying the night.

This is going to be a great event to help and give back to the American Cancer Society. Thanks for all your help and volunteering! Start getting donations now!

SUMMER PLANS

With all this snow, wind, and rain i just HAD to post my summer plans because that way i at least know that i am doing something whether it keeps acting like winter or not... me and brady have talked about a lot of the things we WANT to do this summer.... so i think we're getting there.... haha!I finish school this next week and then i am counting that as my actually SUMMER starting date.. but here is what we are excited for this year! and inbetween all these things we have planned, there will probably be unplanned camping trips, cookouts, swim adventures, trips to bear lake, and boating, fishing, and all those other things that you dont really plan out!!! but we both get to ride one of these this summer unless they drive somewhere? (but if they fly, i'll kinda be scared to not be with brady when he's on one cause the only trip he's taken one for is hawaii, so its only is 2nd time!)

May: we get to go back to the dunes like we did last year. it will be different this year because we have a trailer and i am better on the four-wheeler. We went last year and had a ball so i'm assuming this year it will be even better! I am way excited though. It is fun to be able to ride my fourwheeler and have brady on his dirt bike right next to me. And the people we go with are way fun as well!! bring on the sand!

June: My friend Michelle is in Little Rock AR. so i will be on a plane with my friend Cortney, into that fun state down south! and our friend will pick us up and we are going to spend a week with her. I dont know what we are going to do yet. but it'll be fun for sure! Michelle (dark hair) and Cortney (blonde)

Well since i get to do that, brady wanted to do something with his friends... His friend Jake Callier and him are going to be going deep sea fishing somewhere. I assume Derrek might go, and whoever else. but Him and Jake together should be a good time. I love jake to death, but i guess i'm kinda nervous for them to be together.. they both act like little boys.. haha!
brady's friend jake
July: Oh what a Month! we are of course going to be doing the whole Drive up to Mnt. Logan thing we do every year to watch the fireworks.. that should be fun! Our friend Alisa & Tyler are going to be having their baby the first or second week. then it is mine and Brady's ONE YEAR! so we are planning something for that, we just don't know yet!!! We are thinking either the oregon coast or just go to cali... or even park city or something... any ideas for our one year???? and then at the end of the month i will be going here for the SCENTSY convention that i go to annually!!! August: We are probably going to go to Jackson Hole, and camp with the Buttars family and float down the Snake River. They do it every year....... so that should be fun, and my Family Has their annual August Bear Lake Trip before school starts.... but other than those two we are still trying to decide what to do... maybe lay low and work to make up for all the money we spent over the summer!!!
But what a fun summer! we get to be with friends, and each other doing what we love TRAVELING! you have no idea how excited i am for all of this... and then in august (if i get into nursing) it will be BACK to school again for me.. UGH and it will last until May, but then i will have my LPN and work only 3 days a week.. and then maybe we can start talking about starting a family.

Other things we want to do (but might have to wait)
- trip to alaska
- cruise anywhere
-we might go to montana fishing
-more fourwheeling
-camping, fishing, boating, ect.
-yellowstone
-jackson, Wy
-wendover
-my sister just reminded me that we are sometime going to flaming gorge
-The list could go ON & ON...........
